Exploring with Dora

Its be awhile since I posted, but with fall in full swing, what better way to warm the hearth with a little baking, especially if it ends up warming up hearts at the end?

My latest cake featured my favorite adventurer Dora.  It was done for a celebration for a colleague and her daughter. Vamonos!

This two tiered cake featured royal icing flowers and topped with Dora, Diego and Boots (hey its not really a party unless a monkey is involved right?).

The cake was a white cake with fresh banana and strawberries in a Bavarian Cream filling and frosted in tinted buttercream...if that isn't enough of a treasure to go on an adventure for then I don't know what is!
